What does “Solhive” mean?

Solhive began with the idea of creating something intentional, grounded, and carefully made.

For us, Sol represents warmth, light, and care.
Hive represents the quiet work of building something meaningful over time.

Today, Solhive is a small-batch skin and body care house, formulated and made in-house.

Less fuss. Clean formulation. Made properly. Used simply.

What makes Solhive different?

Solhive is not outsourced, mass-produced, or trend-driven.

Every product is developed, adjusted, tested, and made in-house in small batches, with strict control over what goes into every jar, bottle, tin, and stick.

We focus on clean formulation, purposeful ingredients, shorter routines, and products that are easy to use in real life.

Every ingredient has to earn its place.

Why are many Solhive products waterless?

Many Solhive products are formulated without unnecessary water fillers so the formula stays concentrated and every ingredient has a reason to be there.

Waterless formulation also means less unnecessary volume, less filler, and no shipping water for the sake of it.

Less filler.
More function.

Why does my skin feel tight after cleansing?

That tight, squeaky-clean feeling is often a sign that your cleanser has removed more than it needed to.

Many traditional cleansers strip away natural oils that help keep skin feeling comfortable, soft, and resilient.

Solhive cleansing products are designed to cleanse without leaving skin feeling dry, tight, or stripped.

Are Solhive products only for mature skin?

No.

Solhive began with my own experience of dry, changing skin, but the products are not only for one age group.

Many people come to Solhive because their skin feels dry, stripped, reactive, over-cleansed, or overwhelmed.

The focus is not age.
The focus is skin that needs less fuss and better formulation.

Are Solhive products suitable for sensitive skin?

Many customers come to Solhive because their skin feels dry, reactive, or easily irritated.

Our formulas are intentionally simplified and made without unnecessary fillers, artificial fragrance, sulfates, PEGs, parabens, phthalates, or other ingredients we do not believe need to be there.

That said, every person’s skin is different. We always recommend patch testing first, especially if your skin is sensitive or reactive.

Why are your ingredient lists shorter?

Because we believe long ingredient lists are not automatically better.

Every ingredient should have a purpose. We do not add filler ingredients, marketing ingredients, or unnecessary extras just to make a formula look more impressive.

Clean formulation, to us, means considered, purposeful, and easy to understand.

Is Solhive all natural?

Solhive prioritizes clean, purposeful formulation over vague labels.

We use carefully chosen ingredients based on function, feel, safety, and how they work within the formula.

Some ingredients are naturally derived. Some are chosen because they help the product perform better, feel better, or remain stable. What matters most is that every ingredient has a reason to be there.

What do you leave out?

Our formulas are made without:

Our goal is thoughtful packaging: less unnecessary bulk, less filler, and no packaging choices made just to look more impressive than the product inside.

Does Solhive use AI?

Yes, thoughtfully.

Solhive uses AI as a collaborative tool for design, storytelling, research, and formulation exploration.

AI may help us test ideas, refine language, explore ingredients, and imagine the visual world around the brand.

But every final formula, product decision, claim, and customer promise is human.

We do not use AI to create fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake customer results, or product claims that are not grounded in real experience.

AI helps us explore. Solhive makes it real.

Do you test on animals?

Never.

Solhive is cruelty-free. Our products are tested through real use by people — not on animals.

How long do your products last?

Solhive products are concentrated, so a little usually goes a long way.

How long a product lasts depends on the product size, how often it is used, and how much is applied each time.

For best results, store products in a cool, dry place and avoid introducing water into jars or containers.

Do you ship internationally?

Solhive currently ships within Canada.

What are your shipping rates?

We offer free shipping on all orders within Canada.

Orders typically arrive within 4–6 business days after fulfillment.

Due to the personal nature of our products, all sales are final.
